Emad's Photos:
Photo # 1: Color Choices were Red and Yellow. I like that below the sign you can see the faded colors of red and yellow in the frames outlining the windows. The architectural columns are also a nice touch to the picture itself.
Photo # 2: The colors that stand out most to me are the red letters, the yellow caution signs and yellow line on the road. The layout of this one is nice, but I wish I could see more of what the actual words in red were though. Also I feel as though the balance of color is distributed by the black SUV and the green in the palm tree. This is also a lovely example of rule of thirds.
Photo # 3: The hanging green and yellow banners are the obvious color choice that stand out to me. I'm not sure if this was what he was going for, but I really like the fact that there is a guy wearing a yellow shirt under the yellow banner and then the green plants under the green banner. Very nice on the eyes.
Photo # 4: This photo is SO COLORFUL and SO BRIGHT!!! I love the way the colors were portrayed. The dark on the left and the bright on the right fit well with the darker pink being on the left versus the lighter yellow being on the right. The only thing is i wish it would have been a bit more angled instead of the edge being right on the center.
Photo # 5: This photo get me in the mood for Halloween! The color that stands out most to me is the yellow in all of the signs. While the main focus is the wax figurine i still feel like my eyes want to follow all of the yellow signs that are in the background.
Photo # 6: I enjoy the way this photo makes you follow from the guy taking the picture towards the actual color that is being focused on. While I know that the main focus is supposed to be the yellow and blue donation meter my eyes don't start there.
Photo # 7: I like the angle at which this photo is taken. The only thing about this that bothers me is the fact that the actual object in the picture isn't completely in focus. The blue and yellow do stand out brilliantly compared to the background though.
Photo # 8: Yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow, yellow! I like that this was taken from a mirror so that everything is backwards. The arrows are also a nice touch to help your eyes flow in the direction of where the color is going. Another thing that jumps out at me is the blue shirt and the blue writing on the sign in the background. This is a great frame within a frame!
Photo # 9: The sky has such a nice shade of blue that made the yellow of the sign really just POP right out at you! The use of the diagonal lines against the vertical lines made by the sign/ arrows on the sign added a nice sense of balance to me. I'm not sure i would have liked the photo as much if it didn't have the power lines in the background.
Photo # 10: I feel in this last photo that all of the colors pop out on their own. One color doesn't necessarily stand out over another one to me. The yellow of the building wall versus the red of the letters versus the intense blue of the sky all work together to make each one look brilliant. I also enjoy the smaller circles in the fact that they look transparent making them orange instead of the darker red. A good use of the open frame composition.
Over all I enjoyed looking at all of these photos, and the fact that the color YELLOW was in every single picture. Great job on project two Emad! Can't wait to see what you do for project 3! :)
